Airlines rarely surprise me in a positive way these days. But flying from Stockholm to Amman via Istanbul made me a fan of Turkish Airlines. Flights were on time, the staff was rather efficient and the food… See the porcelain tray? See the cutlery? It’s not made of plastic!
Plus, more important than anything else, it tasted way better than all the other meals I’ve had on a plane in the last 1000 days.
Turkish Airlines is one of the most recent members of the Star Alliance. Why are other members of the alliance unable to deliver on this level? Can it really be that hard? My hat’s off for the Türk Hava Yolları!
