Håkan:
I had 18 kgs of photo equipment + other bags more than 30 kg in all. On the back of a 125cc motorbike + me +the driver. 6 hours no problem. On the way back Bayanga-Lidjombo ( the CAR streck ) the rain was hefty so skid once and burned my leg on engine. Saying no problem, had an extra widelens on my camcorder which shaked loose, and was scratched. But digital camera – no problem. Will recommend that all cameraparts,lenses,etc are individually wrapped in bubblewrap.
It is extremely shaking on the back of a bike.
I was there again this January, and is planning a new trip next year.

@ John Hi there John, - no, you don't have to speak Italian. English is a very well-working lingo at The Mall. - I've only been there twice myself – both times in June – and since there are some 20+ brands represented at The Mall, it seems entirely up to the brands what they want to offer. Shopping at The Mall is a bit of a lottery. However, I've been told that the sale of the autumn/winter collection starts in the beginning of January and the sale of the spring/summer collection kicks in sometime in mid-July. - I only recommend and review places where I have been myself, so even if I've heard about the Valdichiana Outlet Village, I'm not able to tell whether it's worth the trip or not, so I'm afraid you will have to rely on other sources for that. One of the obvious places to go (that I have visited) is the almost legendary Space Prada Outlet. This is a factory outlet, where for instance most sizes of Prada's shirts for men are available. Hello,

I plan to visit the mall in September and have the following questions:

I can’t speak Italian, Is English a common language in the Mall for shopping?
Is there a best time to shop or the discounts are offered throughout the year?
Where else can I shop like the Mall offering similar discounts for branded goods?

Hi Frida, this is what I know about the chef rooster: July 2-22 – Klas Lindberg, Swedish Chef of the Year 2012 August 10-19 – Johan Jureskog of Restaurant AG August 20-26 – Mathias Dahlgren of, well... you know September 27 – August 4 – Stefano Catenacci of Operakällaren September 5-7 – Magnus Ek of Oaxen September 8 – Stefano Catenacci September 9-13 – Magnus Ek September 14-27 – Johan Jureskog September 28 sept – October 17 – Magnus Ek We should also expect a few guest appearances by chefs from abroad, (or so I have been told). I booked my seats by calling +46-70-938-4863. For all other readers of this blog – there are only 18 seats per lunch/dinner, so there might not be too many of them left. :: h ::

Låter som en fantastisk kväll!
Jag ska dit i nästa vecka, men hittar ingen info om vem som ”kockar” just då. Inte Johan i alla fall, tyvärr. Men de andra går ju inte av för hackor de heller. Har du någon koll på var man kan hitta en lsta på vem som är aktuell för de olika datumen?
